History of chosen Genre





House music is a genre that originated in the town of Chicago in America at around the early 1980s. The genre is a type of electronic dance music which originally popular in the US. With house music already massive on the 80s dance-scene it was only a matter of time before it would penetrate the UK pop charts. Whereas the genre of music now, has migrated to various countries, becoming popular all over the world. Many artists who have been very successful in this genre are people like Disclosure, Swedish House Mafia, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Steve Angello, Avicii and many other DJs. It is a very different type of music and from this a lot of people have taken a liking to it. From the genre being so successful, and the listening audience increasing, many festivals have started due to this genre. For example one of the best festivals of this day is a festival of this type of genre, Tomorrowland. This festival is huge, having other 185,000 people from over 75 countries around the worldcome every year. Furthermore in Britain experiments in the genre boosted its appeal. House and rave clubs like Lakota, Cream emerged across Britain, hosting house and dance scene events. A new generation of clubs like, Liverpool's Cream and the Ministry of Sound were opened to provide a venue for more commercial sounds. Major record companies began to open "super clubs" promoting their own acts.



Overall this genre of music has had a massive impact on the generation of music since it has originated, forming new sub genres,festivals,clothing and other aspect s all across Britain and the world.
